Dear Sharon,

I wanted to drop you a note of thanks for thirteen months of peace on my part and care on
the part of my aunt, Patricia Roesler. Since March 1, 2008 my sisters Eileen, Joan and me
regularly discuss the fact that we hit the jackpot when we found Kist ALF to provide care for
our physically challenged aunt who in her advanced years is suffering from severe
dementia.

We always find Aunt Pat’s home like environment at Kists clean and well staffed, often by
your family members and by your caring staff. Each member of your consistent staff (most
have been there since day one) have special gifts to offer Patricia, as the care givers call
her. Some are great cooks and demonstrate professional demeanor while others
demonstrate compassionate respect by taking the time to fix Aunt Pat’s hair in a special
way or paint her nails affording extra personal time that I’m sure provide personal comfort
in her often disoriented world.

It is extremely comforting for my family to know that her care has been provided mostly at
one or two staff members to 4 residents for over a year. Your professional interaction with
Hospice also affords us an additional measure of comfort in the form of the weekly visit
from the Hospice Registered Nurse’s professional medical evaluation and Home Health
Aide who provides for her personal hygiene.

In this age of challenging business demands, my family is comforted by the daily
knowledge that a day of missed visits is never a problem or concern because of the level of
care you have provided Aunt Pat for over a year now.

Please accept my sincere thanks for all you and your staff do to provide a respectful, clean
and safe home for our beloved aunt.
